Day
1: Elephant Safari
Your trip departs in the morning via long-tail boat to
the Karen Ruam Mitr village for the elephant safari.
The hilly terrain of the elephant’s path shall excite you
while you are enjoying the spectacular view of the surrounding
mountains. Once you have descend the ridge, you will
experience the people of the Yao hill tribe village.
Start your trek on foot to Akha village for lunch,
then continue your trek to the Lahu village of Yapau.
The people of Ya Pou are known for their animist
rituals - a belief that all life has a spiritual force separate
from matter. Here you will stay overnight and enjoy a local style
dinner. (L,D)
Day
2 : Akha Trek
Start your day 2 trip on foot for approximately one hour to Huay
Mae Sai waterfall, where you can have lunch in a scenic
spot, swim, or just enjoy the natural forest breeze. Continue
your trek approximately two hours to visit the culture of the
Akha, and Huay Khom, Thai villages. You will
return to town via local bus. (B,L)
