Day 1: Your trip departs in the morning to visit Doi Tung Royal villa, the HillTtribe Project at Doi Tung located in the northwestern hills of Chiang Rai Province. Visit Mae Fah Luang Garden then continue your trip to Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand. Then continue on to visit the Golden Triangle, where the Ruak river and the Mekong river meets forming the borders of three countries - Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos - and visit the House of Opium museum. Then continue to the ancient city of Chiang Sean at Wat Chedi Luang, after leaving Chiang Saen, continue by road to Chiang Khong. Stay overnight at Namkhong River Side Hotel or similar, enjoying the scenery of Mekong River.(L,D)

Day 2: Chiang Khong to Phu Chi Fa - Visit the market where you will see Thai and Laotian villagers buying their daily produce, and continue visiting villages in the area before lunch. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant overlooking the spot where the giant Mekong catfish spawn and are caught by local fishermen. After lunch, continue to the Phu Chi Fah Inn or similar for dinner and stay overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Return to Chiang Rai - After breakfast in the village, trek from Cheng Meng up Doi Chi Fa (“Mountain That Points to the Sky”). The trek is approximately three hours, at the end of which you will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire valley including Laos and the Mekong River. Lunch at the peak, then return to Cheng Meng and transfer back to Chiang Rai. (B,L)
